The newly elected executives of the Nigeria Computer Society, Ogun State Chapter, led by Prof. (Mrs) Olufunke R. Vincent visited the proposed headquarters of EduTAMS at GRA, Ijebu-Ode in company of her vice-chairman, Mr. Olatunde Tijani, The Executive Secretary, The PRO; Mr Opakunle and an Old member of the society; Mr. Adeleke Oluwaseun on Wednesday, 17th of January, 2024.
EduTAMS is an integrated cloud based school management system that helps school administrators to gain better insight into the management of schools and give teachers, students and parents the platform to interact on teaching and learning activities.
The resent successes achieved by this beautiful product cannot be over emphasized, the very first is being among the top 50 Edtech startup in Africa, this feat alone placed Nigeria and Ogun State in a position of recognition when it comes to technology. Second is the recognition by master card.
The proposed new EduTAM headquarters is a one in all Information Technology incubation center for all, the c.e.o, Dr. Adenubi took time to take the chairman and her entourage through the facility and they were wowed, the facility has several sections ranging from open office, open conferences rooms, incubation rooms, praying facility, 24hrs solar power supply, relaxation center, even guest house. The facility will also serve as a mentoring and support hub for startups.
This will no doubt place Ogun state on the map and a destination for information technology investors.
The chairman also paid courtesy visit to Tai-Solarin University of Education, TASUED, Ijagun. We met with the HOD of the department of Computer science, who was very welcoming, he immediately gathered the lecturers in the department, they all congratulated and welcomed the chairman and appreciated her for the visit.
The chairman encouraged them to always attend the monthly meeting of the society and to also get their membership documented as there lots to benefit in being a member of the society.
